The 16-year-old daughter of actor-composer Vijay Antony hangs herself. Class 12 student Laura reportedly committed suicide by hanging at 3 a.m. in her home on DDK Road, Chennai.

Actor and music director Vijay Antony has announced that he will file a defamation case against a YouTube user who made serious accusations against many individuals, including himself, in a recent video.

The YouTuber claimed in her video that someone sabotaged AR Rahman’s ‘Marakuma Nenjam’ concert. She also claimed that Vijay Antony sent a voice message to a journalist imploring him not to let Rahman off the hook because he was only now being “locked up”

Vijay Antony stated in a statement that he was experiencing discomfort and attempted to end a controversy with his statement.

“On her YouTube channel, a sister has disseminated lies about me and my brother AR Rahman. “Everything she says is a lie,” Vijay Antony said in a brief Tamil statement.

He continued, “I will file a defamation lawsuit against the YouTube channel that uploaded the video. I intend to donate all proceeds from this defamation litigation to struggling members of the music industry.”

The ‘Marakuma Nenjam’ concert by Music Director Rahman was conducted on September 10 at Adityaram Palace City, ECR, Chennai. Despite purchasing thousands of dollars worth of concert tickets, some individuals stayed at home due to the event’s poor organization.

The concert venue was congested, according to concertgoers, because too many tickets were sold.

Some supporters complained that the large crowd made them feel panicked and suffocated, and some women claimed they were mistreated at the venue.

Fans and the public criticized the coordinators (ACTC Events) and music director Rahman harshly because traffic jams around the venue were inconvenient for both live audiences and the public.

These harsh criticisms prompted Hemans, founder and CEO of concert organizing company ACTC, to apologize unreservedly to anyone who felt uneasy at the concert and accept complete responsibility for the concert’s poor organization.
