Alien by Fede Alvarez has completed production

The production of Fede Alvarez’s upcoming film Alien has concluded. The release date of the film is August 16, 2024.

Cailee Spaeny, Isabela Merced, Archie Renaux, David Jonsson, Spike Fearing, and Aileen Wu are scheduled to star in the film. In March of this year, the Budapest premiere of Alien took place.

The film’s plot has been kept under wraps, but it is expected to revolve around a group of young people who find themselves on a foreign planet battling the most terrifying life forms in the known universe, presumably the Xenomorphs. It is rumored to be distinct from the adult, militaristic settings of the previous films, focusing on the younger survivors as they attempt to defend themselves against the Xenomorphs.

Notably, the upcoming Alien film is the ninth installment of the franchise and will be a standalone installment. 20th Century Studios and Scott Free Productions are its backers.
