Since Friday, August 11, the location of five young people between the ages of 19 and 22 who disappeared in the Lagos de Moreno area has not been found.
According to a post on Twitter by the sister of one of the disappeared, who uses the username (@laraaaaaa_m), she is related to Diego Alberto Lara Santoyo. She also stated that the last time she spoke to Diego was around 11:00 p.m. on the previous Friday.
The Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office carried out searches on Sunday, but they did not obtain positive results, which further complicates the case. According to preliminary versions of the events on the night of August 14, the five youths were supposed to have been found dead. However, the Jalisco authorities have not officially confirmed whether the youths were found dead or alive.
One of the missing youths is Diego Alberto Lara Santoyo, who is 20 years old and has marked scars that look like spots on both arms. According to his search file, his hair is wavy, short and black and his last appearance was in the San Miguel neighborhood.
The individual in question is a young man of 1.77 meters. He has a solid, compact build, and was wearing a long-sleeved white shirt and blue jeans.
One of the disappeared is Jaime Adolfo Martínez Miranda, along with Diego Alberro, who was last found in the San Miguel area. His body is slim and his hair is short, straight and black. He also has a mole on the right side of his lip and a piercing on his right earlobe that make him unique.
Diego Alberto has a close relationship with Roberto Carlos Olmeda Cuéllar. He is 20 years old and is in his sixth semester at the Lagos University Center, studying Industrial Engineering. A distinctive feature of Roberto’s appearance is his pierced ears. After the disappearance of the two young people, the general rector of the University of Guadalajara (UdeG) issued a public statement requesting the authorities to intensify search actions.
One of the missing individuals is Uriel Galván González, 19, who has visible acne scars on his right forearm and on his face. Despite the disappearance of the group of young people last Friday, the Jalisco Search Commission published Uriel Galván’s search file for the first time on the morning of Tuesday, August 15. Uriel Galván’s hair is dark brown, short and wavy, and his complexion is robust.
Dante Cedillo Hernandez, 22, has a strong build and a light brown skin tone. His hair is short and black and he has noticeable scars on both knees.
The Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office held a press conference on the afternoon of August 15, in which he reported that he had received a complaint of a fire in a car in the vicinity of the section of the Encarnación de Díaz-Lagos highway that leads to Moreno.
In a press statement, Judge Luis Joaquín Méndez Ruiz reported that the object found belongs to one of the victim’s cars. In addition, he said authorities found what appeared to be human remains, forcing further investigation. Authorities are currently examining an image and video purporting to show the missing youth to ensure they are true.
One building was seized as a result of the investigation. The property contained stolen vehicle license plates, a motorcycle, a firearm, bags of dried green vegetables, and additional bags of white powder.
