Mariah Casillas, a 22-year-old model and resident of OnlyF in Honolulu, announced that she would send nude images to anyone who contributed at least $10 to Maui wildfire relief efforts.
Popular tourist destination Hawaii has recently experienced one of the deadliest wildfires in the United States in more than a century. The fire caused at least 106 deaths, destroyed cities, and rendered victims destitute.
On X (previously known as Twitter), where she made the audacious announcement, 1,300,000 people viewed the model’s innovative fundraising strategy for the island.
“Damn, I’ll send naked photos to anyone who donates at least $10 to my Maui wildfire fundraising campaign. I adore this gorgeous island so much, tweeted the donor. “Please retweet and DM me after donating, and I’ll check;).”
On August 14, the model known on Twitter as @Lavaxgrll established the GoFundMe page HELP LAHAINA NOW! Since then, she has raised over $7,400 in donations, allowing the bawdy do-gooder to send over 740 naked photos to her followers.
“Every $10 = 1 nude, let’s go,” she reminded her 96,000 followers in a subsequent tweet advertising the fundraiser.
Casillas stated to The Washington Post that it was not a “gimmick”; she was in fact sending money to Maui victims.
“I just wanted to get the word out so that people don’t think it’s a stunt,” she explained. “I would do anything for the island because I adore it so much. The funds will not go to me, and this is not a solicitation for any other purpose.”
